YouTube introduces its own TV service, for $35 a month

If you love watching TV and you also spend a lot of time on YouTube then its new TV service might be the right thing for you



Are you a TV fanatic? Do you enjoy spending your evenings watching your favorite tv shows, sports or even the news? Then it’s your lucky day! YouTube announced a new TV service for those who want to watch live television. According to the video sharing platform YouTube TV – that’s the name of the service – will have many perks. And the main advantage is that the service will provide the users who want to watch what they want, when they want, how they want, without commitments.

But, let’s break down what YouTube TV offers.

Since we are talking about live TV streaming YouTube announced that user will enjoy content from ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, Disney Channel, USA, FX, E!, Bravo. In total you will have access to more than 40 networks. But there are some networks missing from the list. Comedy Central, CNN, MTV, AMC Networks and others are not at the list.

Another benefit that comes with YouTube TV is a cloud DVR. Which is great for people who want to binge watch many shows. In other words you will be able to record live TV and never worry about storage. “The cloud DVR can record as many shows as you want, simultaneously, without using precious data or space on your phone and we’ll store each of your recordings for nine months.”

Now, you may ask “Is the service compatible with my smartphone?” The answer is yes. YouTube TV will be functional for all types of screens – smartphone, tablet and computer. Also, you can easily stream to your TV with a Google Chromecast or Chromecast built-in TV. Of course the service will be available for both Android and iOS.

If you decide to become a member you can also watch all of YouTube Red Original series and movies. This side bonus make sense.

Now, let’s talk pricing. The service will cost $35 a month and you can cancel it whenever you want. Each membership offers six accounts, for the rest famiy members. Every account will have recommendations and personal DVR.
