Twitter is edging towards helping businesses develop even faster with a new Dashboard app for both Web and iOS. The new app is geared towards helping businesses see what people are saying about them, view insights, and schedule tweets.
With Dashboard, you will be able to view things targeted at your business, including questions, and tweets related to other products. In a nutshell, the free tool allows you to engage with your audience and feel their pulse in terms of how they react to your products and services.
“Dashboard offers a single destination to get things done. It gives business owners a clear picture of what’s being said about their businesses, lets them schedule Tweets, and offers insights about their Tweet performance,” Twitter’s Product and Engineering Manager Noah Pepper wrote in a blog post on Tuesday.
Twitter’s Dashboard app gives businesses the edge in the way they use the microblogging platform. Dashboard can help your business achieve or do a lot, including:
Create a custom feed where you can engage with your audience
Businesses can easily create a custom feed to find what is being said about their products and services. With your custom feed, you can get to the heart of the tweets you want to see first and keep track of happenings in your community. As Twitter puts it, “if you work at a cafe, you may see a Tweet from a customer who has a question about your hours. Or, if you’re a boutique owner, you might see a Tweet from a potential customer talking about one of your products.”

Schedule tweets even when you are not online
Twitter’s new app lets you schedule tweets to reach your audience even when you are not online or busy with some other activities. iOS users can use the Dashboard app to update their “tweet queue.”

Get tweet ideas and inspiration
Twitter’s Dashboard app will also help you start conversations and engage your audience when you are low in inspiration or don’t feel motivated to send out tweets. For example, if you work at a restaurant, the app will help you with suggestion like, “Your team is as unique as your business. Tweet a surprising fact about one of your team members.” Sometimes too, the app might encourage you to “retweet a customer’s excited reaction” to recent projects.
Your initial set up is quite straightforward and easy too—for a start, you will have to select or type words that are related to your business. If there is need to exclude some words, the app also gives you an option to do just that.
In all, the new Twitter Dashboard app is a very useful tool for setting up filters and promoting your business. If you want to try it on your personal account, you will have to follow some specific accounts.
Twitter Dashboard is available on the Web at dashboard.twitter.com or on iOS on the App Store. However, Twitter did not give an indication whether it plans to add an Android version of the app anytime soon.
