TikTok has launched a new feature that helps creators to engage with their viewers. The new Q&A feature will enable creators to designate their comments as Q&A questions, and also respond to questions either with text comments or video replies. They [creators] will also be able to add Q&A profile link to their bios among a couple of other things they can also do.

“Today we’re making it easier than ever for people to engage with the release of TikTok Q&A, a new question and answer feature that gives viewers and creators new ways to connect. In videos, users will be able to designate their comments as Q&A questions, which are then labeled as questions in the comments section. This makes it easy for a creator to quickly identify and answer questions in their videos’ comments,” TikTok said in a blog post.

Q&A features have also been added to LIVE, which gives creators the ability to quickly see Q&A questions in their stream chats from a separate panel. The newly added feature is available to users with Creator Accounts.

To activate Q&A on your creators account, simply go to your settings and privacy page, select Creator, tap Q&A and hit the “Turn on Q&A” button to activate the future. To switch to a Creator Account, select “Manage account” in your settings and choose the “Switch to Creator Account” option. Make sure you’ve updated to the latest version of TikTok to enjoy all that’s new with Q&A.

TikTok has added a video-scheduling capability; though this cannot be confirmed as at the time of writing this. However, reliable social media commentator Matt Navarra twitter about the new functionality with a screenshot.

A video-scheduling capability could be a game-changer considering how busy some creators are. Being able to schedule your video to be published at a later date and time is a brilliant addition.

According to a caption in the screenshot, users will be able to schedule a video according to time and date. Once you have set or schedule a time and date, the video will be auto-published even while you are offline.

The video-scheduling capability will only work on TikTok desktop for now, with no word on when it will become available on mobile. You will along with other settings choose who sees your video.

Have you spotted the new video-scheduling feature yet? Please feel free to share your first impression of the capability and how you think this will be of use to creators.

In January, TikTok created a new online portal for creators—a one-stop shop where they can get educational resources. The portal gives creators opportunities to access content based on six different categories. In other words, the TikTok Creator Portal is an online platform where people can learn.
