LinkedIn celebrated its 10th anniversary in May. After a decade since its launch, the social network designed for professionals now has 225 million members wherein 64 percent live outside the U.S. In addition, the current influx rate of new members is now two per second.
As a result, the social network has become a treasure trove for business-to-business marketers and professional users.
Social media marketing firm Wishpond has released a new infographic to show how LinkedIn marketers and users interact on the platform. It aims to provide a sound understanding on the proper use of the social network for businesses.
According to the graphic, nearly 40 percent of LinkedIn users paid for premium accounts while 35 percent of total LinkedIn users actively visit the site every day.
In addition, the visual informs that the average monthly usage time on LinkedIn is 17 minutes.
Somewhat surprisingly, LinkedIn users have an average age of 44.2 years, and nearly 80 percent of total LinkedIn users are more than 34 years old.
The platform now has more than 1.5 million groups wherein 81 percent of LinkedIn users belong to at least one of these groups.
With room for improvement, mobile devices accounted for 27 percent of LinkedIn visits.
