According to many sources, the Galaxy Alpha, one of the most beautiful smartphones launched in 2014, was just the beginning of a new line of metallic phones. Samsung seems to be working on three new devices, which will be the first from the A-Series: Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3.
The latest leaked pictures, provided by the TENAA certification site, are offering a full look to the latter, which will most likely be the smallest and the least ‘powerful’.
The Samsung Galaxy A3 is built on a metallic frame, following the design line started by the above-mentioned Galaxy Alpha. Its display measures 4.5 inches and the AMOLED panel comes with a resolution of just 540 x 960 pixels, but remember that this will be an entry-level device.
In terms of specs, it will be powered by a Snapdragon 410 chipset, with a dual-core CPU, clocked at 1.2 GHz, aided by 1 GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity counts just 8 GB, and, knowing that Samsung’s TouchWiz UI does require a lot of space, a user will only have about 4.5 GB available. Still, that shouldn’t be a problem, since a microSD card slot is present too.
On the back, a 8 MP camera will be present, while the front sensor counts 5 MP, taking video calls or even selfies to a whole new level.
Currently, there’s no information about Samsung Galaxy A3‘s launch date or price, but since the leaks keep coming, a Q4 launch, or at least announcement, seems imminent.
