According to AdWeek, Snapchat users will still be able to skip the mid-roll video ads after six seconds, but advertisers will be able to use the option for longer video messaging, in order to keep those viewers who are interested engaged.

Snapchat users, according to AdWeek, will however, still be able to skip the mid-roll video ads after six seconds. This, however, will also give advertisers the opportunity to use the option for longer video messaging. This, as you already know is to help keep viewers who are already showing interest engaged.

The new update is currently only available in closed beta. Interested users who are also part of Snapchat’s beta program can access it via the Snap Ads Manager. Other way to join the program is through your Snapchat sales representative.

The expansion is an opportunity for advertisers to make use of existing video assets, rather than cutting them down to six seconds. This, according to Snapchat, offers more opportunity for cross-platform engagement.

A couple of months ago, Snapchat launched a new ad creating tool that will keep both new and existing advertisers happy. The new tool “Instant Create” offers three easy steps to creating new ads on the platform—and I am sure advertisers would like it.

Instant Create like the company puts it, provides advertisers who have very limited resources a way to quickly get started. The end result of course, is that they would be able to reach a highly engaged audience that will impact positively on the growth of their businesses with Snapchat.

Your options when creating a campaign include choosing Instant Create or Advanced Create. Advanced Create is a tool that allows you to create multiple Ads Sets, while Instant Create is a simplified way of creating a campaign with a single Ad.

Features of Instant Create include:

  1. For web visits, simply input your business URL and Instant Create will pull in photos directly from your website to help create your ad.
  2. You have the option of choosing from one of the imported images or uploading a new one from your computer, allowing you to quickly set up your campaigns without having to search for a creative.
  3. Instant Create includes a streamlined ad creation flow that leverages our most popular templates and simplified ad detail options, enabling you to publish engaging creative without additional design resources.

Instant Create is a good tool for advertisers with small budget who may not be able to compete with the big players in the industry.
