Pinterest continues to add more pins and new ways to shop for your favorite items online. This time around, the company has launched a new Shopping Bag that allows you shop across multiple websites—but the most interesting part of it is that you can check out with a single transaction.
Pinterest continues to evolve in a way different from other social media outfits as it seeks an identity that sets it apart from the rest. It continues to add more pins and new more options for users to shop for their preferred items online. The new Shopping Bag has a feature that lets you select items from across the web for eventual purchase probably later.
“Today, we’re rolling out buyable Pins on web and adding a new shopping bag so you can shop for multiple items wherever you are,” Pinterest’s Product Manager Tim Weingarten explained in a blog post on Tuesday.
As long as the retailer makes the product of your choice available on Pinterest via the “buy” pins, there won’t be any need to make multiple transactions. The Pinterest “buy” buttons, according The Next Web, will soon be rolling out on the Web.
Pinterest has been doing a lot of work behind the scene to ensure that a lot of merchants are included in its rollout plan. “We’ve partnered with 20,000 merchants—big and small—to bring over 10 million unique products to Pinterest.” Having 10 million “unique” products from 20,000 merchants provides loads of options for shoppers.
A new “Pinterest Shop” to ease shopping
To help you find the items that you need and make shopping easy, the company has added a new curated “Pinterest Shop.” The Pinterest Shop lets you find new products and collections, while a visual search option allows you to tap on different items around an image to discover more or buy them.
Pinterest editors made up of in-house and guests have been assigned with specific tasks of curating the best of Pins to enable easy shopping.
