
MWC 2012: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 – S Pen on Ice Cream Sandwich / image via Samsung
Samsung announced at the 2012 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, an event started a few hours ago, a new tablet that has the S Pen stylus, so far available only with Galaxy Note. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 comes equipped with a dual-core processor and runs Google’s Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Galaxy Note 10.1 is the latest tablet in the arsenal of devices launched by the South Korean company. The tablet with 10.1-inch WXGA screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800, comes with the dedicate stylus S Pen, which began to be used once with the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note. Unlike its younger brother, Galaxy Note 10.1 cannot be used as a phone. Fortunately, many applications available for S Pen will satisfy users’ requirements.
Another plus for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 in terms of software, apart from S Note, is the program Adobe Photoshop Touch, which will be preinstalled on the tablet.
In terms of hardware features, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is equipped with a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor, a main camera of 3 megapixels and a secondary one of 2 megapixels, 1 GB RAM, storage capacity of 16, 32 and 64 GB, respectively, and a 7000 mAh battery.
Unfortunately, the people at Samsung have not released any details about the launch of their new tablet Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
