An iPhone X-like Motorola One and Motorola One Power were officially announced by the company on Friday. The midrange Android phones will be widely available in markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America starting from October.
Motorola One
The Motorola One is the most affordable of the two phones, and comes with a 5.9-inch HD display, Gorilla Glass 2.5 on both the front and back, a 3,000mAh battery, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. Customers in the aforementioned countries where the phone will be available in will have to pay roughly $350 to get it when it becomes available.
Powered by Android One, the Motorola One comes with an advanced 13MP dual camera as well as an 8MP selfie camera. With Google Lens powered by artificial intelligence, you can interact with everyone around you just by pointing your camera. Since it runs on Android One, the phone does not come with preloaded apps [but of course, not without the usual Motorola apps], while the device runs on 8.1 Oreo. However, customers can expect to get the 9.0 Pie immediately after launch and the Android Q in 2018.
The Motorola One is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 with a 4GB of RAM, while TurboPower provides six hours of usage in 20 minutes. The top of the device houses a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Motorola One Power
The Motorola One Power is much bigger with a 6.2 inch 19.9 Max Vision full HD+ display. Its wide view screen is a perfect fit for watching your favorite show while in a relaxed mood.
Talking about watching your favorite shows on the phone, the One Power has a longer-lasting battery with up to 6 hours of battery life in 15 minutes, and comes with a TurboPower charger.
One Power is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 1.8GHz octa-core processor. There is also plenty of space to store those downloaded movies—the device boasts of a built-in 64GB storage that is expandable to 256GB.
The Motorola One Power which looks more like the Motorola P30 built for Chine, will be available in India from October.
Though both phones feel a bit cheap, they are nonetheless a statement in quality and would attract a large amount of fans in the markets where they will become available in a few weeks’ time from now.
For the price, the Android One powered phones from Motorola promise regular security updates for three years with a minimum of two OS updates.
Perhaps, the most noticeable thing about the Motorola One and the One Power is the fact that no mention was made of the US market. The company does not appear set to push the phones to the US market; at least not now.
