Reports say that the thousands of Gigwalk jobs, called “gigs”, are now offered by Microsoft through the service for iPhone 4 owners who want to get paid taking pictures of places in eight U.S. cities.

The photos Microsoft is looking for will be of businesses like restaurants, reports say, and will be for the cities of Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Some of the gigs are paying $4.75 each, a report from the Miami Herald says.

“By combining Gigwalk’s tech-savvy mobile force with our popular Photosynth app, we’re able to add immersive panoramas to Bing local search results, so people can accurately see the details of a business such as a store or restaurant,” All Things D quotes Microsoft’s Bing Mobile’s David Gedye.
