Instagram could soon enable post creation on the web according to a new screenshot posted by Matt Navarra on Twitter. Users will be able to create post on the web using their web browser on desktop.

The test has also been confirmed by Facebook in a statement per Bloomberg. In the statement, Facebook said: “We know that many people access Instagram from their computer,” spokesperson Christine Pai said. “To improve that experience, we’re now testing the ability to create a Feed post on Instagram with their desktop browser.”

From Navarra’s screenshot, you will be able to select aspect ratios, apply built-in filters, and make use of basic editing parameters all within your browser. The new functionality is currently only available to a handful of users for now. However, you can spot it as highlighted in the top right of your screen with a message that says: “Now you can create and share posts directly from your computer.” This could only mean one thing—Instagram could soon roll out the functionality to everyone.

This is one update creators will most certainly want to see. The benefits of being able to create posts on the web will almost certainly be welcomed by most people.

In related story, Instagram has initiated a new ‘suggested posts’ feature test. The test is coming on the heels of the huge reception its suggested posts feature has received since it was first launched. The new test will see suggested posts being mixed throughout a user’s primary feed, and sometimes ahead of photos and videos from those you follow.

Instagram is also testing a set of new controls that will allow you to add specific topics as an interest for your suggested posts, as well as the ability to snooze the recommendations for 30 days to hide them from your feed. This new test, though a small one, is currently only available to a handful of users.

Suggested posts could be Instagram’s own way of keeping people glued to the app. It could also act as a useful feature for people who would love to follow people or other users based on some interesting topics. For example, you can follow the content based on such key phrases as “”, picking up discounts and promo codes from popular essay services. However, some users may not find it funny seeing posts from people they do not follow. It could be annoying, and that is why the snooze button may come in very handy at the end of the day.
