In the midst of the race to achieve the majority of search engine market share, Bing and Google have been bringing up too many projects and functionalities, and now, everything aside, they are each blaming the other for stealing search results.

Bing and Google and Yahoo

Recently, a Bing executive had blamed Google for stealing its ideas and product designs to which Google claimed that Bing is stealing and/or copying Google’s search results.

This war of words started after Bing chewed into a piece of Google’s search engine market pie. Google’s search engine market share in the United States dropped from 70 per cent in December to 64 per cent this March. Now imagine how big that bite is from the pie when search based AdWords program makes up the bulk of Google’s billion dollar earnings.

The market is now rich with the players bringing in more and more technology in. Bing and Google are both trying to predict the user’s search needs even before the user starts feeling it. This is based on their respective search personalization systems.

In the middle of all this, Yahoo is losing the edge and losing search engine market share and is putting the blame on delayed technology systems for making this happen.
