October 2011 will be a month like no other with the imminent successive release of flagship phones from three of the world’s leading smartphone makers, including the iPhone and Nexus Prime.
Apple is set to release the next iPhone version on Oct. 4, followed by Taiwan-based HTC’s upcoming Oct. 6 event, and then the alleged Oct. 11 launching of the Google Nexus Prime – the Samsung handset touted to carry the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile OS.
To solidify reports for the launching of Nexus Prime, Samsung has already mailed invitations for its “Unpacked” event, which will happen at the CTIA expo and co-hosted by no other than Google.
If the launching event pushes through, it will mark the announcement of Ice Cream Sandwich and the first mobile device to run the latest Android version.
The Nexus Prime will allegedly come with a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED screen and an Exynos chipset embedded with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor.
