Smartphones are getting slimmer and slimmer. Now is the time for a very very slim laptop. Acer unveiled the thinnest notebook in the world, according to their words. At its Global Press Conference at IFA Berlin, the company presented the new Swift series of ultra-thin and lightweight notebook PCs. But, what makes the Swift 7 the slimmest laptop in the world and what specs are hidden inside?

Swift 7 measures just 0.39 inches (9.98 mm) in height and weighs 2.48 pounds (1.1 kg), providing incredible portability. The weight and measurement are perfect for portability, especially if you take your work anywhere you go. The Swift series comes with Windows 10 (of course!)

Acer’s Jerry Hou said:

“We are thrilled to announce the new Swift series, a complete ultra-thin laptop lineup with something for everyone”, “Front and center is the flagship Swift 7 with an all-aluminum chassis that’s less than one centimeter thin, while still packing in performance and stamina for all-day productivity.”

Like we mentioned the Swift 7 weighs just 2.48 pounds (1.1 kg) and measures 0.39 inches (9.98 mm) thin. These numbers makes it the world’s first laptop to measure less than 1 cm thin. The exterior is decorated with black-and-gold dual tone design and a durable all-aluminum body. The 13.3-inch Full HD screen is strengthened by Corning Gorilla Glass. Inside you will find a 7th Generation Intel Core i5 processor, a fast 256GB SSD and up to 8GB of memory.

You will also enjoy the latest wireless technology (2×2 802.11ac with MU-MIMO) that delivers up to three times faster3 connections. In addition you will get two USB 3.1 Type-C ports for quick data transfer, connection to an external display, and to charge the notebook. And there is a HD webcam with HDR (High Dynamic Range).
