The majority of its users are conservatives. It favored free speech. After President Trump’s Twitter account was suspended, his supporters flocked to Parler. When the violent mob flocked to the US Capitol, this far-right-friendly social media platform went offline. It wasn’t its choice though. Apple removed Parler from its App Store and Amazon shut down its account. A week after it was booted, it re-emerged but not yet fully functional. The first post after it was shut down was from John. He just said, “Hello world, is this thing on?” Public Outcry The company’s board wasn’t satisfied. In an internal memo, Parler CEO John Matze revealed that he has been terminated by the company’s board because of the platform’s “role” in the riot at the Capitol in January. iOS 14.5 Adds a Feature to Allow Users to Unlock iPhone or iPad Even When Wearing a Mask

Google decides that it no longer wants to make its own games for Stadia. Hence, it’s shutting down its studios in Los Angeles and Montreal. Instagram is adding a ‘recently deleted’ feature to enable you recall deleted posts
Image Credit: The Verge Instagram wants to give you the chance to bring back deleted posts. The social media giant is doing this by adding a “recently deleted” feature, which will make it possible for you to recall deleted posts. With the “recently deleted” post feature, you will be able to view content previously deleted. Among content you will be able to recover are videos, stories, photos, reels, and IGTV videos. To be able to access this feature, you will have to confirm ownership of the account through text or email. Once this is done, you will be able to permanently delete or restore content. All deleted items according to The Verge, will stay in the folder for 30 days, and if left untouched, they will be automatically deleted. However, this is slightly different with deleted stories; they will only stay in the deleted section for 24 hours before they are permanently removed. To access the folder, simply navigate to Settings > Account > Recently Deleted. The recently deleted feature has already started rolling out to users.
