YouTube Video Embeds Adds a Subscribe Button

YouTube continues to launch new features. For example, it just updated its FAQ page a few days ago. The updated page has new information about its beta program for Android users. Then, YouTube is also testing the picture-in-picture mini floating window for desktop users.

And the changes did not stop there. Recently, it adds new features and shortcuts to its YouTube Video Embeds. It is a huge change that came along with the redesigned version. The embed feature provides details related to the channel. These items would include the number of subscribers, the complete name of the channel, and the ability to subscribe.

Before, when you see a YouTube video embedded in a site and you liked it, you need to click through the video and be redirected to the YouTube’s page. From there, you can subscribe to the channel.

With this latest change, YT makes it a lot easier for you to see the video you want and subscribe. The subscribe button is found on the top left part of the video.

Although YouTube offered tons of changes and made users happy recently, it was completely different a few days ago when the platform experience an outage. But to console those angry users, the company sent its TV subscribers an email along with an apology letter and a week’s free credit. The $10 discount is given to subscribers but they have to complete the form on Wednesday.

But it is not the first time to happen. In July, there was also an outage that prohibited soccer fans from watching World Cup match on YouTube TV between Croatia and England. And the Google gave those subscribers similar credit after the incident.

On the other hand, there are no changes on the player itself. The latest top bar displays at the top of the embed button if you hover over the video. Some people may think that the embed button is just a small, insignificant update. But for creators, it is a great refresh to help them boost their channel growth.

Google seems to test a lot of updates to the YouTube platform. Before, not all users were happy with becoming a part of the platform. But with the new beta program, users can test functionalities that are not yet released publicly. Google did not state if it is going to restrict changes in testing on the platform exclusively. However, it appears that it will be appropriate for major changes.

Why YouTube Remains Popular?

One of the reasons is that it is a lot easier for creators to share their content with a wide audience. The simplicity of the platform attracted millions of creators around the world. It offers a wide array of viewing options, from beauty to sports to lifestyle. It is also a preferred platform for those who wish to venture in film creation. With the millions of visitors on YouTube, you will surely find a handful of users that share the same interest as yours.

What do you think of these updates on YouTube?
