Rumor has it that Xiaomi might present an alternate device for Mi 5X
The Chinese company Xiaomi is known worldwide for its electronic products. Especially for its low-price handsets and smartphones. Now, the company wants to make a step forward and it looks like that they are going to test the Android One group.
According to a report from Krispitech – a media source from Indonesia – Xiaomi and Google are working together in order to release a version of the Mi 5X, with stock Android via the Android One initiative.
As for the device there are some information but we suggest to take them with a grain of salt. According to the report this version is called Xiaomi Mi A1 and it was seen at POSTEL, which is Indonesia’s FCC. It runs with Google’s software so everyone believes it is an Android One device.
Also the phone has a 5.5-inch Full HD display and inside Snapdragon 625, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. As for the cameras at the rear you will find a dual lens 12MP camera and a 5MP at the front. All of that will be presented, presumably, with a very low price for the its features – less than $250 – fast updates and the stock Android. This phone might be one of the best phones of the year at a budget.
If you are not so familiar with Android One allow me to break it down. Android One is the budget series of electronic devices that run with Android. It was created by Google and the company has also control of the design, development, and support of these devices. Also, the system and security updates are made by Google.
The Android One handsets were first rolled out in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and other South Asian countries back in 2014.
Now, the first Android One smartphones were by the Indian brands Micromax, Spice and Karbonn in September 2014. The second generation of these smartphones were by the brands Mito Impact, Evercoss One X and Nexia in February 2016.
Android One also rolled out in Nigeria in August 2015 with the Infinix Hot 2 X510 and it quickly spread to other African countries like Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Kenya, Cameroon and Uganda.
