Word Dynamo, a learning app from Dictionary.com, is now available for Apple iPad. With this app’s availability on iTunes, it can now reach more students who can enjoy playing the quiz-type word definition games and other vocabulary activities using their mobile devices.

Dictionary.com announced the availability of Word Dynamo as an iPad app when it reached 50 million downloads for the Dictionary.com app. Apple noted that Dictionary.com is one of the most popular apps of all time.

According to Lisa Sullivan-Cross, general manager of Learning for Dictionary.com, “Word Dynamo makes a personalized game of learning. Whereas cramming before a test used to mean pouring through unintelligible notes in the school hallway, now students can play games on their iPads that leave them infinitely more prepared.”

Word Dynamo has several standout features, including Word Score, which estimates how many words you know, study dashboard, 20 word game levels, and more than a hundred thousand study guides.

Shravan Goli, Dictionary.com’s CEO, stated that Word Dynamo’s availability for the iPad is a major step in Dictionary.com’s goal of improving and redefining students’ learning experiences.
