Microsoft has finally released its Windows Essentials 2012 with a new Movie Maker and Photo Gallery for Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems.
The software giant pitches the latest Movie Maker and Photo Gallery for Windows 8 as having several improvements specifically designed to make the Windows 8 experience more streamlined and appealing.
“Today we’re happy to announce new versions of Movie Maker and Photo Gallery for Windows 7 and Windows 8. We’ve added a few new capabilities while also taking advantage of some advances in Windows 8. Movie Maker and Photo Gallery are two essential Windows applications hundreds of millions of people have come to rely on for making the most of your photos and videos,” says a post on Microsoft’s Windows Team Blog.
Movie Maker now comes with built-in video stabilization features, including an option to insert your own music or from three different music sources. It has several cool new text effects and uses the industry standard H.264 format by default. At the same time, Photo Gallery now have the ability to share videos straight to Vimeo.
In addition, Microsoft SkyDrive now replaces Windows Live Mesh after the news suite finishes installation.
Windows Essentials 2012 comes with SkyDrive for Windows, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Family Safety, Windows Live Writer, Windows Live Messenger, Outlook Connector Pack, as well as Windows Photo Gallery and Windows Movie Maker.
