Steven Sinofsky, Microsoft’s Windows division chief, wants to prove to you that the Microsoft Surface tablet isn’t flimsy.
In fact, it’s strong enough to carry him à la skateboard.
Sinofsky tweeted a photo of him riding the Microsoft Surface like a skateboard and then another photo showing the tablet made it.
“Couldn’t resist taking it out for a spin… #surface,” Sinofsky said in one tweet.
“detail view #surface,” he said in another.

The tweets came as the Surface with Windows RT was made available for pre-order by Microsoft.
According to reports, the stunt was done by the Windows division chief inside the lobby of Studio B where Microsoft’s Surface team resides on the Microsoft Campus.
Less than 24 hours after being put up for pre-order, Microsoft appears to have sold out its first batch of the base model of the tablet which costs $499.
The Surface with Windows RT is constructed using a VaporMg chassis and its screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
