WhatsApp Recall

A screenshot of the soon-to-be launched WhatsApp chat “Recall” feature has emerged on Twitter. The screenshot as can be seen below, has a “Cancel” and a “Recall” button that allow you to recall or cancel a sent message obviously within a specified period. It allows you to unsend a message recently sent by you.

According to Twitter user WABetaInfo, there will be some improvement on the “Recall alert” sometime in the future. This might simply imply that some minor fixes and changes still have to be made to the feature. If released, the feature could be the ultimate tool to save a lot of WhatsApp a lot of pains from sending some embarrassing messages intended for someone else.

WABetaInfo is a trusted source for upcoming WhatsApp-related features; and is known for calling a lot of news right. No exact date has been set for the release of this update yet, but the source said the feature will be available on WhatsApp Web 0.2.5370.

The chat app is also testing a new feature—you will soon be able to watch YouTube clips within your WhatsApp chat app, The Independent reports. The new feature, which is still being tested by the company’s engineering team, will open and take over your entire screen.

The report adds that you can only do one thing at a time—the app forces you to watch video or see your messages. In other words, you won’t be able to do both [watch YouTube clips and read your chat messages] at the same time. What this means is that you have to keep switching between the two app just to keep using the new feature.

However, people with split-screen functionality won’t have any issue using the new feature as they can view both apps with ease. The feature, like I said, is still being tested, and a couple of tweaks still need to be made before it gets a wider rollout; perhaps in the near future.

The feature is hidden somewhere within the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS that will soon be officially available for download. WABetaInfo reports that you will be able to view YouTube videos-in-picture mode right within your WhatsApp chat app once the latest version is available for download.

You will be able to drag the video window around without pausing or stopping it. This will enable you to have a proper view of your messages, and to also resize it with a pinch, while also view it in full-screen mode if that’s what you want to do.

WhatsApp recently upgraded a feature that lets you send any type of file. This marked a significant shift from the way we have always used the chat app. Everyone will now be able to send video/audio, PDF, images, and Word documents in addition to images.

The feature will only be available on iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
