The update allows Verizon Wireless customers to access their favorite TV shows and stay up-to-date with its latest episodes, watch live sporting events, and experience a seamless high-quality video streaming experience.
With Verizon Video, customers get to stream videos on the most reliable 3G network and the fastest, widest coverage, and most advanced 4G LTE network in the U.S.
Verizon Wireless also said that Verizon Video for Android allows users to look for content through browsing or searching titles.
Powered by digital media provider RealNetworks, the mobile app offers an easier way for people to enjoy digital media.
Customers can try Verizon Video on a 24-hour period for $3 only or avail a $10 monthly subscription fee on top of a data package, as streaming videos incur heavy data usage.
Verizon Wireless customers can now search and download Verizon Video on the Android Market, but keep in mind that this app is for select 3G and 4G LTE smartphones only.
According to its press release, “Verizon Video updates V CAST Video on select devices and current V CAST Video subscribers will be prompted to update the app the next time it launches. After the upgrade, it will then appear under the name Verizon Video.”
