The Source of Google’s Revenue [Infographic]

Between company websites and network members, Google had a revenue of nearly $40 billion in 2011. Approximately 96 percent of this was earned through advertising. The company has really been successful at making the most of products that are offered free of charge to its patrons. You probably use the Google search engine extensively for a wide range of research needs. You may publish a free blog with the company’s Blogger platform. By joining advertising with its free resources, the business has risen to the point of being the second most valuable tech company in the world.

Much of Google’s rise in value has happened in the last few years. From 2007 to 2008, there was minimal growth in the company’s profit. From 2008 to 2011, though, Google’s profit has more than doubled. Google employees are well-rewarded for their work, having received a 10 percent raise over base salaries in 2011. Google pays a hefty amount in income taxes as well.
