A new research reveals that most businesses rely on making branded pages when implementing social media marketing. This is good news for business owners who think they are short on the budget but want to use this marketing tool. Participants of the survey were advertisers who annually spent at least 100,000 dollars on social media advertising.
In fact, setting up social media business pages is free. The report by eMarketer reveals that 73 percent of survey respondents said they set up pages and put up messages in those pages to promote their businesses.
While there are other social media tools out there that are effective for social media marketing, a research conducted by Lab42 shows that Facebook users prefer going to business pages rather than their counterpart websites. Customers and potential customers also prefer going to Facebook pages to build brand connections and get special offers.
In addition, businesses also plan on using various social media platforms to promote their content, build branded apps, and purchase ads. Targeted advertising is going to be used a lot by businesses as well, with the aim of providing relevant content to consumers based on their behavior and certain demographics.
According to the eMarketer report, however, brands are doing more than just providing targeted display advertising to relevant users. Rather, they are using social media to create content that will get users involved and engaged.
