UK ICO Reopens Google Street View Investigation

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) of the UK has opened up its Google Street View probe about the service’s data collection process based on a US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) report findings.
Steve Eckersley, head of enforcement for the ICO, said in a letter to Google SVP Alan Eustace regarding a renewed investigation because of FCC findings, which only ridiculed the UK regulator’s previous conclusion that the search giant inadvertently amassed personal data.
