Google’s acquisition of third-party email application developer Sparrow is worth under $25 million, a new report says.
According to The Verge which cites unnamed “sources familiar with the situation”, the price paid by Google to acquire Sparrow does not exceed $25 million and that there was no other company Google outbid to acquire the email app
Google has bought email developer startup Sparrow as part of its attempt to prop up Gmail.
Sparrow, a new developer of email technology, revealed the deal through its official website but on undisclosed terms.
Sparrow CEO Dom Leca writes, “We’re joining the Gmail team to accomplish a bigger vision–one that we think we can better achieve with Google.”
Leca added that the firm’s services will remain available to its users regardless of the Google acquisition. The chief …
