Facebook Expands AV Marketplace Through New Partnerships With Security Companies

Facebook has announced the expansion of its AV Marketplace to add seven partners to its growing list of security companies.
Users of the world’s largest social network will now be able to download software from avast!, AVG, Avira, Kaspersky, Panda, Total Defense, and Webroot.
Facebook has previously teamed with other anti-virus makers such Microsoft, McAfee, Norton, TrendMicro, and Sophos – all of which will start providing AV software for users’ mobile devices.

Microsoft Says Cyber Scams Increasing in Social Networking World

Microsoft has said that cons are alarmingly rising in the social networking world as cyber criminals become more sophisticated in their methods.
