Windows Phone Marketplace Set To Reach 100,000 Apps

Microsoft has announced that its Windows Phone Marketplace finally made a milestone after it passed the 100,000 apps mark, but still significantly falls behind app markets Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Based on data compiled by All About Windows Phone, app developers seem to want more involvement in the third ecosystem, as Microsoft’s mobile app store only needed five months to double its amount to 100,000 apps after it took 14 months to pass the 50,000 mark.

Microsoft Windows Phone Marketplace Crosses 50,000 App Submission Mark

Microsoft has not been so much of a threat to rivals Apple and Google when it comes to Windows Phone sales but the company is making progress in terms of marketplace apps.
According to niche site All About Windows Phone, the Windows Phone Marketplace has passed over the 50,000 app submission mark on December 29 with more than 50,000 apps available on the market today.
