An iPhone user and AT&T customer has taken the U.S. mobile communications company to court in California over data throttling and gets awarded $850.
The news first came to light via a report from The Associated Press which said that Matt Spaccarelli was awarded in a small claims action against AT&T.

AT&T Loses Massive $6.7Bn in Q4 Largely Due To Thwarted T-Mobile Merger

AT&T reported Thursday that it posted a $6.68 billion loss for the last three months of last year largely owing to the foiled attempt of the US telecoms giant to acquire wireless carrier T-Mobile.
This translates to a loss of $1.12 per share of AT&T compared to a profit of $1.1 billion or 18 cents per share for the same quarter in 2010.

AT&T has today released details on the new data tariffs it shall be rolling out on Sunday. The new tariffs, which will affect new customers to the network, will carry a higher cost tariff to users although the data allocated will also increase.
