Nicolas Sarkozy wants “Internet Giants” to Pay Tax in France

French President Nicolas Sarkozy is of the opinion that “Internet giants” should now start paying tax in France, reports AFP.
“It is unacceptable that they have a turnover of several billion euros inFrancewithout paying tax,” Sarkozy told Le Point magazine.
Just last year the proposal for imposing tax on online advertising revenues was discussed, but was rejected by lawmakers fearing it would harm small local companies more.
