Tonino Lamborghini, the son of the man who built the famous Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini, will release will release new Lamborghini phones in Russia this summer.
That is according to the Russian news site Mail which has published about the new Lamborghini phones.
According to the publication, Tonino Lamborghini will launch two gold-plated feature phones, an Android smartphone and a tablet this coming summer.
The devices are expected to hit the Russian market by August.
Let’s list the devices, shall we?
According to the Mail, the first Lamborghini phone will be the TL688 Spyder. The feature phone is equipped with a 2-inch display with a resolution of 240×320 pixels, a 3MP camera with video capture, 4GB of internal memory and a VGA front camera. The phone reportedly supports GPRS / EDGE.
For those features, plus a body reportedly made by hand and features gold plating, you’ll have to shell out 60,000 to 70,000 rubles (over $1,800 to nearly $2,150).
Here is the TL688 Spyder. The name sounds like a Lamborghini supercar name.
Next up is the TL820 Spyder 2. It has a 2.4-inch display with a resolution of 640×480 pixels, a 0.3MP front camera and 5MP rear camera, 1GB of internal memory expandable via a TransFlash card (up to 16GB), a 2.5mm audio jack and a 1,200mAh battery.
According to the Mail, this phone has 3G. the Tonino Lamborghini phone is also gold plated and made by hand and will cost their owners 80,000 rubles (about $2,450).
The third phone is the “smartphone” Lamborghini phone. Its named the TL700 and has a hold-plated shell processed by a diamond and lavished with elements of crocodile skin. It’s screen is protected by sapphire glass.
For 90,000 rubles (about $2,760), you get a device that runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It’s processor is a Qualcomm SoC. The TL700 has a 3.7-inch screen with a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels. It has, like the TL820 Spyder 2, a 0.3MP front camera and 5MP rear camera. Internal memory is served at 4GB and its battery capacity is 1,400mAh.
We move on to the tablet of the bunch, the Lamborghini L2800.
The Lamborghini L2800 is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB or RAM and 4GB of internal memory which can be added to via a memory card slot. It has a 2MP front snapper and a 5MP rear snapper.
The battery of the L2800 is rated at 7,500 mAh, needed to power the 9.7-inch 1,024 x 768 pixels screen. Like the Lamborghini phone L700, its screen is also protected by sapphire glass.
It runs on Android 2.3 but will be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Lamborghini tablet, just like the Lamborghini phone siblings it has, will not be cheap at 75,000 rubles or about $2,300.
