Staples confirms that it will carry Google’s Nexus 7 in its brick-and-mortar and online stores. It is accepting pre-orders and is giving guaranteed free delivery to nearby Staples stores or buyer residences. Shipment of Nexus 7 is expected to start between the 12th and 17th of July, according to Staples.
Staples is the third major dealer to announce retail of Google’s tablet, next to Gamestop and Google. Nexus 7 is available with 16 GB memory storage for $249 and with 8 GB storage for $199, both offered in Staples.

The two Nexus 7 models will come with 1,280 by 800 pixels HD display and Google’s latest operating system – Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It will also run with quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor with 1 GB of RAM. Additional interesting features include a 1.2-megapixel camera in front useful for video chatting, accelerometer and GPS support, and a battery life of approximately 9.5 hours for users playing 720p videos around-the-clock.
Google’s Nexus 7 aims to compete with Amazon’s Kindle Fire and other 7-inch tablets in the market. It weighs 12 ounces and is 10.45 millimeters thick.
Other major retailers online and offline are presumed to sell Nexus 7 sooner or later, but perhaps Amazon will not be among them.
