Sony is readying to release 11 smartphones this year if a recent report from trusted mobile phones site GSM Arena proves to be correct.
In a posting yesterday, the publication posted a table detailing the approximate release dates and approximate pricing details of 11 smartphones from Sony.
According to the site, the information reportedly came from a leak of a sales report from Sony India.
“The prices and dates, as such, are for the Indian market but should be applicable in most European and Asian countries as well,” GSM Arena notes.
In April, Sony aims to launch three new phones: the Kumquat, Nypon and Pepper (seen as the ST251 KUMQUAT_1, the LT221 NYPON_1, and the MT271 PEPPER_1 on the list provided by the site) which will be priced at Euro €262, €370 and €308 respectively.
In June, Sony may launch the Olive (OLIVE_1) for €308.
In July, the Tapioca and Hayabusa may be launched by Sony for €146 and €493 respectively.
Sony may follow these launches in August with the Tapioca DS (TAPIOCA_DS) and the Lotus for €162 and €277 each.
We may also possibly see three launches to be made September by Sony. These are the Atlas (ATLAS_1), Mint (MINT_1) and the AFFM for €293, €562 and €192.
