According to this infographic, 71 percent of women while 62 percent of men use social media.
That is 129,987,341 social media users in the U.S. which is more people than all people currently in Japan.

LinkedIn And Social Recruiting [Infographic]

In 2012, 73 percent of recruiters filled a position using social media employing methods such as social recruiting.
According to the infographic, 93 percent of social recruiting efforts were through LinkedIn.
