Chinese smartphones maker ZTE has just launched seven new smartphones in Moscow, a report from Russian site Phones-Review notes.
The smartphones launched at the Hotel Lotte in Moscow are the ZTE Grand Era V985, ZTE Grand X LTE T82, ZTE V970M, ZTE V889M, ZTE V887, ZTE V880E and ZTE V790.
We have a lot of phones to cover so let’s get to it.
ZTE V790
Let’s start with the lower end of the spectrum with the least endowed smartphone launched at the event: the ZTE V790.
The Android 4.0-running ZTE V790 is equipped with a 3.5-inch touchscreen with are solution of 480 x 32o pixels.
It runs on a 1,200 mAh battery and comes with a 1 GHZ processor, 1 GB of internal storage and 512 MB of RAM.
Imaging is courtesy of a camera that has 3.2 megapixels and connectivity is via Bluetooth 2.1, and Wi-Fi b/g/n.

ZTE V880E
The ZTE V880E offers higher specifications than the V790 but with a serious tradeoff.
It comes equipped with a 4-inch screen that has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, a 1650 mAh Lithium ion battery, a camera with 5 megapixels and autofocus, two SIM slots and 4GB of internal storage but the phone only runs on the antiquated Android 2.3 Gingerbread mobile operating system.

ZTE V887
The ZTE V887 is equipped with a 5-inch touch screen albeit with a measly resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
The kit is also equipped with a 5-megapixel camera, a dual-core 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory.
This king-sized smartphone also comes with a battery that has a 2,000 mAh capacity and wireless connectivity taken care of by Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and AVRCP, and Wi-Fi b/g/n.

ZTE V889M
Next we have the V889M that rocks a screen measuring 4 inches diagonally with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
Powered by a dual-core 1 GHz processor, the ZTE V889M also comes with two SIM slots.
The kit also includes 4 GB of internal memory and 512 MB of RAM powering its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
This smartphone also has a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus that can capture 720p HD videos. It can play full HD 1080p videos, ZTE says.
Tucked in that 122.5 x 63.5 x 9.9 mm body is a 1,600 mAh battery. Wireless connectivity features include Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and AVRCP as well as Wi-Fi b/g/n.

ZTE V970M
The ZTE V970M is actually the original Grand X in other markets albeit with two SIM slots. We see a pattern here with ZTE smartphones getting two SIM slots if they have an M appended to the end of their model numbers.
Apart from the dual-SIM configuration, the V870M also uses a Mediatek MT6577 chipset for the Russian market, Phones-Review says.
The smartphone comes equipped with a dual-core 1 GHz processor, a PowerVR SGX531 GPU, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 1GB of RAM, 4G of storage, 4.3-inch IPS LCD screen with 960 x 540 pixels resolution, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, microUSB, a camera with 5 megapixels with autofocus and LED flash, and a 1,600 mAh battery.
Grand X LTE T82
We come to one of the high-end devices of the lot announced by ZTE in Moscow.
The Grand X LTE T82, from the looks of the photos posted by Phones-Review, is a newly designed smartphone as it’s not just an upgraded version of the previous Grand X and Grand X dual-SIM.
Equipped with a 4.3-inch TFT+TP screen with 960 x 540 pixels in resolution, the Grand X LTE T82 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The smartphone is powered by a 1,900 mAh battery tucked in a 130.9 x 65 x 11.2 mm body that weighs 150 g.
As mentioned in its name, the smartphone is an LTE device running at the 1,800 and 2,600 MHz bands.
The Grand X LTE T82 comes equipped with a rear camera with 8 megapixels equipped with autofocus and LED flash and which can also capture full HD 1080p video plus a front camera with 2 megapixels for video conferencing.
Powering the whole thing is a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor backed by 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage.
The Grand X LTE T82 is equipped with Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi b/g/n.

ZTE Grand Era V985
The ZTE Grand Era V985 is the most powerful smartphone which was launched by ZTE in Moscow recently.
It comes with a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and is a dual-mode CDMA/GSM phone meaning it can be used in virtually any place on earth.
It has 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage and comes equipped with two cameras. The rear unit of the smartphone has 8 megapixels, can capture full HD 1080p video and has autofocus and LED flash. The front camera has 1.3 megapixels and can capture 720p video.
The smartphone is powered by a 1,800 mAh battery which is needed for that 4.5-inch 720p (1,280 x 720 pixels) HD screen.
Wireless connectivity features include Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi b/g/n.
The whole package is fitted by ZTE into a thin chassis that measures 133 x 66 x 8.6 mm.
