Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S III Mini on October 11, the company has revealed. The news was shared directly by JK Shin, Samsung Mobile Communications chief.
“We’ll be launching a 4-inch Galaxy S III on the 11th in Germany,” Shin revealed, according to this report.
“There’s a lot of demand for a 4-inch screen device in Europe. Some call it an entry-level device, but we call it ‘mini’,” the senior Samsung Electronics executive added.
Furthermore, various reports including this one from Engadget and this one from The Verge say that Samsung itself has confirmed to them that they will be launching a Galaxy S III Mini.
In a statement to The Verge, Samsung is quited as saying that: “Galaxy S III mini will come with 4-inch display and we are going to unveil the product tomorrow (Oct 11th).”
Meanwhile, Engadget says that Samsung told them that they will “unveil the 4 inch Galaxy S III Mini in Germany on October 11th.”
MobileGeeks, meanwhile, says that the Galaxy S II Mini will have a 4-inch Super AMOLED display (800 x 480-pixel resolution), a dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera and an unlocked price tag of 399 Euro.
