Samsung has hinted its upcoming “Windows 8-ready innovation” in a trailer video on YouTube.
The clip, entitled Samsung Notebook: Something smart is coming, reveals a thin notebook device with ultrabook-like features in brief appearances in fast transitioning images between shots of quick timing devices, which include clock faces, cogs and spinning dials.
The South Korean phone maker said in the teaser’s caption that “the time is near for the big reveal”, which means it could launch the device at the IFA 2012 in Berlin this week.

A quick glance of the new device’s frame unveils a standard headphone jack at the top of the screen that could feature a removable display, thus turning it into a tablet such as the design found on the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity.
The camera highlights on what looks like a stylus tucked in the lid, which hints that the notebook may provide more accurate touchscreen abilities similar to the company’s Galaxy Note 10.1 that recently launched.
This is the second YouTube video that Samsung teased to build hype for its presentation at the IFA, following an earlier trailer that hinted of what seems to be a Galaxy Note 2 smartphone.
