Did you owned a Galaxy Note 7 and you had to withdrew it? If you did then this might be your chance to have a new one. According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Samsung is going to release a limited edition of the Galaxy Note 7 FE or Fandom Edition. We have to admit that it is a cool name.

Now, according to the report the new device will be available in Korea as soon as July 7 and there were many rumors about the release of this smartphone. This edition will come with a different battery (of course) and component set and it will cost almost $600. Also, the WSJ report says that the Korean company doesn’t have any immediate plans to make the phone available to other markets. That’s why they produce only 400.000 units.

Maybe they want to test the waters first and then give the device a second chance. And if you don’t remember what happened with the first edition of the Galaxy Note 7 allow us to remind you.

The original version of Galaxy Note 7 had some serious problems and many devices either produce smoke or burst into flames. At first it looked like some minor incidents. But, as time went by there were many more phones with the same problems. So, Samsung decided to halt the production of the smartphone and asked for users to return their phones. It is estimated that more than 2.5 million devices were returned. In addition there were issues with the replacement models.

Some of the incidents that are connected with the malfunction of Note 7 include phone smoking and exploding on air flights, the story of a 13-year-old girl who was holding a Note 7 and it started smoking and when another Galaxy Note 7 user said he was awakened by his new Note 7 making a loud noise and producing smoke and flames.

All of these stories belong to the past. And Samsung took the blow and did the right thing with the withdrawal of the phones and weeks of investigation. The South Korean company apologized to everyone and admitted that the faulty batteries was the reason for the malfunctions, smoke and fire.

We believe that the new model is safer but we have to wait for the first branch of customers to give their reviews. We are also waiting for the next Galaxy Note model.
