Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 towards the end of February and now it seems like the new tablet has shipped to dealers with it appearing on the Office Depot site with a price of $400 (that’s $399.99 if you want to be exact).
The appearance of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 was first noticed by Engadget which snapped a screenshot of the tablet shown on the Office Depot site which clearly states that it’s priced at $399.99.
The model shown is a 16GB Wi-Fi only version of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.
As of visiting the Office Depot site, however, it seems like the item has now been taken down. Nonetheless, we still managed a glimpse of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 even though the site now says that “The SKU number is not valid. Please check the number and try again. Item #659302”
Here’s the snapshot Engadget managed to get while the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 was still live on Office Depot:
Here’s what is showing as of press time although it clearly shows a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 as evidenced by the distinct bezel housing front-facing speaker ports:
In another view, it says “Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 2 10.1″ WiFi Tablet, 8GB. Item # 659302” although the price has been taken down. Take a look:
Also to note is that Samsung did not mention an 8GB model when it announced the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 back in February.
