Samsung Galaxy Nexus II, the device known under the code name GT-I9260, will have an 8-megapixel camera, or at least that guarantees AllAboutSamsung, a German forums about Samsung products.
They made the discovery through a photo on Picasa, which includes full details about the camera firmware. The photo was taken with the Galaxy Nexus II.
Samsung has posted this photo with a resolution of 2448 x 3264 and I9260XXALJ1 test firmware.
Rumors say that the new Galaxy Nexus II will be equipped with an 8-megapixel camera, microSD slot, 16 GB internal memory, a 1.5 GHz dual core processor and a Super AMOLED HD display of 4.65 inches. So far nothing very different from its predecessor, except for the presence of a camera and microSD slot. I’m very curious what kind of CPU they will adopt for the new model, although chances are high to be about a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, the most fashionable processor at the moment.
Apparently Samsung was planning to deliver the terminal in December to retailers and it is possible that this new model, the Galaxy Nexus II, will come with Android 4.2 on board and be one of many Nexus models prepared by Google partners, as stated in some recent rumors. I must admit that the LG’s Nexus sounds slightly better than this model … Let’s see if HTC and Sony will be involved in this initiative.
