Samsung has decided to ask for help in the battle with Apple and appeals directly to the “heavy artillery”: Google, it’s main partner.

Officials of the two companies conduct in depth high level discussions on the strategy process that Samsung wants to bring against Apple.

Samsung Mobile chief, Shin Jong-kyun, announced that it will carry out discussions, first, with Eric Schmidt, chairman of Google, in Seoul, followed by meetings with other U.S. partners, according KoreaTimes.

Samsung currently has lawsuits with Apple in many countries, for infringement of patents. In U.S., Apple emerged victorious in front of the South Koreans, both companies were found guilty of infringement of patents, while in Japan, Samsung beat Apple.

The meeting with Google’s boss is important because many of the targeted Apple patents where raised by Android.
