As the launch of the Windows 8 operating system draws near, Samsung has announced that it will launch three All-In-One personal computers running on the next-generation Microsoft operating system.

These will include the Samsung Series 5 All-In-One Windows 8 desktop and two variants of the Samsung Series 7 All-In-One Windows 8 desktop.

“Our new Series 7 and Series 5 All-In-One PCs are designed to meet a range of consumer needs across the home, all within highly stylized form factors that users will be proud to put on display,” Samsung’s Todd Bouman said in a statement.

“The expansion of our AIO line speaks to the success we’ve had in the PC market over the past year. Both of these new models take Samsung’s convergence technologies to the next level, completing the home computing experience by connecting the PC to other devices in the home environment,” Samsung Enterprise Business Division Vice President Of Product Marketing added.

The three All-In-One personal computers are differentiated most by their screen size. However, there will also be differences specifications-wise between the three models.

Key features of these Samsung Series 5 and Series 7 Windows 8 desktops are their touch screens which the company says offers enhanced sensitivity enables users to enjoy the full capabilities of the latest entertainment applications or perform complicated content editing.

Along with up to 10 simultaneous touch points sensitivity, they also offer familiar touch gestures such as pinch to zoom, rotate and scroll. These screens have very wide 178-degree viewing angles, Samsung say.

This feature is supplemented by the integrated webcams of the Samsung All-In-One PCs that offer Kinect-like controlling experience.

Other notable features is the option to integrate up to 64GB in Solid State Drive memory out of the box.

Samsung will sell these All-In-One Windows 8 desktop computers on October 26, the same day Windows 8 will be released by Microsoft.
