The Verge, a merchandising website, managed get a hold of pictures of what is said to be the new Amazon Kindle, ahead of its anticipated revelation in Amazon’s product launch event, scheduled September 6.
The new Kindles, as seen in the leaked photos that are assumed to be a part of a French package, is very similar to the last Kindle generation, except for the lack of a button below the screen and a greatly dimmed bezel.
As depicted in the images, the new E-reader is said to have greater contrast and display quality, efficient lighting, and almost 2 months, or 8 weeks battery capacity.
The photos are said to hint at Kindle Paperwhite, which could be the new E-reader’s nickname, or to its new screen, which appears to have a brighter display than the Pearl-E ink, utilized in older Kindle units.
The Verge, however, did not indicate the source of the images they leaked, and also announced that the previous model Kindle Fire has already been sold out.
