RIM has confirmed that the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 beta will be available to developers by the end of this month which is today.
The news comes from Michael Clewly who said in a Twitter post that RIM plans to release the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 beta by “end of May”.
He said in a reply to a tweet: “yes
. I’ve said end of may”.

Furthermore, the product manager for the RIM BlackBerry PlayBook said that the questions which have been raining on RIM about the release of the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 beta will be addressed by RIM in a blog post when the OS is already available for download to developers.
He said in another tweet: “Lots of questions about the #PlayBook 2.1 beta, they will be answered in the blog post when it’s available so stay tuned!”

From the looks of it, BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 beta will soon be available although RIM is still to release it and it is the “end of May”.
