PayPal is moving ahead with plans to revolutionize its services by launching a new credit card called PayPal Cashback MasterCard. The roll out also came along with a s percent cashback on purchases, and not points that vary by category.
PayPal has teamed up with Synchrony Financial to offer the 2 percent cashback on purchases to customers—and of course, this is without annual fee. Other benefits attached to this roll out include no minimum redemption amount, no restrictions on how you spend your cash rewards, and no expiration.
Card users will be provided with PayPal security as well as other standard MasterCard benefits including extended warranty coverage, purchases protection, and identity theft resolution to assist you whenever there is an issue to be resolved. All those, including the PayPal Purchase Protection will come to you at no extra cost.
“Today, we are introducing the PayPal Cashback MasterCard in partnership with Synchrony Financial, the best 2% cash back credit card available with no annual fee and a straightforward, best-in-class approach to earning and redeeming cash rewards.” Darrell Esch, VP & Commercial Officer, Global Credit, PayPal said on the company’s official website.
While the card is available in all the countries where you can find PayPal, only those with a PayPal account can actually access and use it. As a matter of fact, the card is automatically added to your wallet once it is approved by the company. The good thing is that you don’t have to wait until the physical card arrives by mail before you can start using it—once approved, you can start making purchases online.
PayPal is probably rolling out the cashback card in order to compete with other mobile payments alternatives like Apple Pay, Android Pay, and Samsung Pay. These alternative online payment options provide customers with opportunities to make and complete their online transactions with ease—and PayPal doesn’t want to be left behind.
“The PayPal Cashback MasterCard provides our customers with another innovative consumer credit option, making the payment experience seamless for each customer’s unique lifestyle.”

Your transaction won’t take more than a couple of minutes as PayPal will be responsible for completing the process.
