Nokia has released its Maps Suite 2.0 for Nokia Belle smartphones through the Nokia Beta Labs developer portal site.
Beta Labs is a testing ground for new projects and upcoming applications dedicated for Nokia phones, which now delivers the latest version of the Finnish phone maker’s Maps Suite for the Belle operating system – its newest operating system based on the now defunct Symbian OS.
Still in its development stage, the new Maps Suite 2.0 version offers several new functionalities and improvements such as the Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps, My Location, Places, Public Transportation and Weather, all of which exploit the new features brought by the new Belle operating system.
Key features of version 2.0 include customized routes for traffic and landmarks on Maps, voice commands for destinations, and landscape mode for an easy view while driving.
Nokia Weather now offers the current climate conditions of a particular destination while geo-tagging displays photos taken at specific map locations.
Nokia Belle owners can add Maps Suite widgets on any of the new homescreens so download it now on this link.
