Nokia 803 may have the biggest-ever camera sensor

The Nokia 803 may come equipped with the largest-ever camera sensor to date, a rumor coming from Boy Genius Report details.

According to BGR, they have “been told that the Nokia 803 will feature one of the largest camera sensors — if not the largest camera sensor — ever seen on a mobile phone.”

However, BGR – which did not cite a source for the information leading to their report – did not provide an exact or approximate sensor size for the Nokia 803.

The Nokia 803 is expected to be launched in May.

The phone is also expected to be the last Symbian smartphone to come out of Nokia factories. The Nokia 803 will be the successor to the Nokia N8 which runs on Symbian.

Meanwhile, the Nokia 803 is also rumored to have a 4-inch AMOLED screen instead of an earlier rumor saying it will have a 3.5-inch display, an HDMI-out port, microSIM support and near field communication.

Another rumor about the Nokia 803 concerning its image-taking capabilities is that it may be equipped with optical zoom.
