For the game enthusiasts Nintendo made a very interesting announcement. The company is planning to release the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System or Mini SNES. The retro game console from the 90s will come with many classic and favorite games.

The mini game console will have 21 pre-installed legendary games such as Super Mario World, Super Punch out, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past and Secret of Mana as well as the Star Fox 2.

The miniature SNES will have an HDMI cable in order to connect it your TV or monitor. Also the game console has two controllers so two players can jump right in. Also, the gaming company is releasing two version of the console. There is one version for the European and Japan market which is a miniature version of the original light grey design. Now, if you live in North America you will find a more edgy, grey and purple console.

It seems that Nintendo wants to bring some of its classic consoles back to life. Just last year they released the Mini NES, which was extremely successful. But there was some criticism because users could not expand the game collection with extra downloads. Some users also said that most of the games featured in Mini NES can be available online and you can play them via emulators even on your smartphone.

Nevertheless the mini SNES is already pretty popular amongst the game lovers and of course it will be more powerful than its predecessor regarding the colours and the graphics.

As for the productions we are not sure if Nintendo will decide to produce more units that mini NES. The previous console was sold out pretty quickly and many customers were pretty disappointed by the fact that the company didn’t produce many units.

There is also the fact that Nintendo might announce that the switch will have its own Virtual Console store, just like Wii has. Through this shop players could download classic Nintendo titles.

If you want to buy the Classic Mini: SNES you will have to wait until September 29 and you will have to pay $79.
