Nicki Minaj dropped her Twitter account five days ago, leaving 11 million of her follows hanging, but now she’s hinting at coming back. In addition, there are rumors that she will be quitting music, all things considered.
Nicki Minaj was said to be frustrated over a song entitled “Marilyn Monroe” that has leaked to the internet and posted in music blogs all over. According to MTV, the song may just be a demo version that needs to be cleaned up before it is released along with the album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded”.
In a U.K. promotional tour interview with Graham Norton, Nicki Minaj mentioned that “a voice in my head told me to delete my Twitter and that’s what I did. I had eleven million followers and I hope they will wait for me.”
While Minaj seems to be optimistic during this interview, she isn’t as vibrant in others, including the one she had with Tim Westwood, host for BBC Radio 1.
She said, “People aren’t even giving the kid props for taking it back to the essence… This is my fourth mixtape, really,” she said. “The kid did like that so she could feed her fans. But really, now the kid is thinking maybe she should leave the game.” Apparently, in this interview, she refers to herself as the kid and talks in third person.
Nobody knows for sure what “the game” means except for Nicki Minaj herself, but if it means her entire music career, she’s probably upset about something that is bigger than her Twitter altercation.

Ridger: Interesting. Thanks for sharing. Have you moved to a place where no one uses that construction, or is it just too colloquial or nonstandard to use among the people you work with now?
