Finally, the revamped Yahoo Messenger app has made its way to desktop for Windows and Mac—and with some cool features too.

In June, the company said it would no longer provide support for its Messenger desktop client, but advised users to “complete their transition to the new Yahoo Messenger.” Users now have up until August 5 to make the move over to the new Messenger.

“Today, we’re delighted to announce that you can enjoy all of these features you’ve grown to know and love in our brand-new Yahoo Messenger desktop app for Windows and Mac,” Yahoo’s Senior Director, Product Management Austin Shoemaker wrote in a blog post on Thursday.

The new Yahoo Messenger app for desktop won’t look any different for those who have been using it before the upgrade. However, it has some components that you will find in Tumblr and Flickr. With some cute features such as bulk photo sharing and Unsend (you can now retract messages).

The bulk photo sharing feature allows you to send hundreds of images at once to everyone in the conversation—and all images will appear to everyone at once. Yahoo also added a new feature that lets you click and Like comment, photo, or GIF in a chat or group message. Accessing searchable and shareable GIFs is now very easy on the new app. “Save precious time with our drag and drop feature to share multiple photos at once. Then, spread the love by “liking” any posts or images that stand out to you.”

The new Yahoo Messenger app now boasts an Unsend feature—much like what you have on Snapchat. You can now kill off messages sent in error before the recipient reads it. The problem with this feature is that a fast recipient could take a snapshot of the message before the sender retracts it. “Sent that message too soon or caught a last-minute typo? Now you can take back a message, photo or GIF (yes, even after you’ve pressed send)!”

The feature is pretty easy to use—simply long-press a chat bubble, then tap the “Unsend” to retract or make the message disappear. If you haven’t updated to the new version of the app, then you may not be able to get full access to this and other features on the new Yahoo Messenger app.

Yahoo Messenger used to be the major chat app for most users back in the days. Things changed a couple of years ago when big players like Facebook Messenger Instagram, Snapchat and WhatsApp apps made their big entry. Some users still hold the app in high esteem and could maybe retain some nostalgic feelings.

If you are still using the legacy feature of the Messenger, here is your big chance to upgrade to the new one with new and exciting features on or before August 5. You can download or upgrade the new Yahoo Messenger for desktop Windows and Mac here.
